Applications for the Graduate Society Summer Predissertation Fellowship must be completed in CARAT by the internal departmental deadline. A completed application includes the following materials: Application form, including budget sheet (via CARAT) Current resume/CV; not to exceed two pages Current transcript Dissertation Completion Grant Beginning with the cohort entering in –06, students are guaranteed five years of funding: the first four years plus a Dissertation Completion Grant awarded to qualified PhD candidates. This grant will be available as early as G-4 and as late as G After G-7, the grant is no longer guaranteed · To demystify the title of this discussion, the dissertation is something that you will live with for quite a long time, both before and after completion. You are probably living through the “before” part already or soon will be, but there is quite an afterlife as you go on the job market, apply for postdoctoral fellowships, revise it for publication, or find yourself teaching a seminar
